A wonderful portrayel of the friendship between two great civil rights leaders.
Martin Luther King, Jr. and Abraham Joshua Heschel both spent their lives in a quest for justice and equality. This book tells the story of these to giants in the history of social justice, about their rich friendship, and joint work. Martin, from a Southern family, grew up in a time when the country was torn asunder by racial discrimination. He became a a minister, like his father, and preached to put a stop to it. Abraham, from a European family, grew up at a time when his European home did not welcome Jews. He came to America, followed his own father's footsteps by becoming a rabbi, and spoke his message for acceptance. The books shows how their friendship itself is a message for equality for all
