Facts About Our Reviews
- What We Write
- We write only enough to entice you, not spoil the plot. And we only review books we heartily recommend for that age group.
- New Reviews
- When we write a review, we first feature it under New Reviews on the All Reviews page. After that, sometimes we will move it to it's place in the directory on that page, and we may also link the title to the book in the booklists: Early, Middle, YA, Picture.
- Other Places
- We don't always write extensive reviews; sometimes we just write a short blurb when we mention them under Staff Picks or Sneak Peaks. Be sure and check out the Staff Pick Archive for still more mentions.
- No Commissoned Reviews
- We write all our reviews entirely inhouse. That may change in the future, but for now, we are not looking for book reviewing support -- thank you, though, for all you talented writers who have contacted us.
- Where Can You Find the Book?
- Bookstores, yes, but more than half of our reviewed and listed books are in local libraries...and run any questions by your local children's librarian to get even more great advice.
- How to Buy the Book
- Try your local book store or favorite online source. We don't have sales or advertising on this site, though we may one day set up an Amazon-link arrangement. And don't hesitate to ask your local bookstore clerk for advice -- they are usually very knowledgeable.
